Hi, I’m Damian Pietras. I’ve been working as a C/C++ software developer, software architect, solutions architect, system administrator and technical team lead - always around servers side, networking and storage. I was working on iSCSI protocol around time public cloud was starting. As a Software Architect I was rewriting email software for interia.pl (polish internet portal), worked as Solution Architect at Akamai (one of largest CDNs), and technical lead of a Cloud services startup. I also created an open source audio player MOC
As a hobby I play with electronics, programming microcontrollers and trying to understand analog electronics.
This blog is a collection of ideas, system architectures and designs based on my experience. I don’t lean into something because it’s “cool” or “hot”. My solutions are usually based on boring, open, usually simple technologies and software, often outside of mainstream.
